Judith Rayl ~ About the Artist
In her photography, Judith Rayl explores the tender beauty found at the intersection of nature and the human-made. She presents raw single-capture natural abstractions speaking to connection and emotion. Judith is inspired by intimate images of harmony and reconciliation. She believes in the healing power of nature; her art is a statement of sensitivity to our environmental crisis.
At the confluence of ecology and urban life lies a still-point of possibility. By seeking this balance through her art, Judith finds a renewed sense of abundance. Her photography uses no filtering nor double images; she embraces the impermanence of each moment.
As a child, Judith loved both art and science. On weekends she would explore freely in museums, happily roaming the galleries. Judith pursued her education in medicine while continuing to be a passionate art lover. She retired from her medical career to focus her energy on art.
In 2017, Judith began photography. Her award-winning artwork has now been selected for 70+ exhibitions, with 14 solo shows. She was chosen for the City of Seattle Ethnic Artist Roster.
