ArtHeals™ Since 2021, Judith has created two innovative curatorial programs. Her personal project is ArtHeals™ at Harborview Medical Center (HMC). The ArtHeals™ rotating solo visual art exhibits are displayed in the HMC Medical-Cardiac ICU Nurses’ lounge and both MICU Providers’ Team Workrooms. The exhibitions are curated to focus on healing, inspiration, and wellbeing.
Our healthcare staff face unprecedented chronic stress from the combined effects of the pandemic, housing emergency, and fentanyl crisis. Judith’s art curation program offers frontline healthcare workers a path to wellness through viewing visual art in their workplace. In 2024, Judith was selected to curate a second site for ArtHeals™, at Bainbridge Island Fire Department. Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center Redesign In 2024, Judith was selected as the Curator for the Harborview Abuse and Trauma Center (HATC) redesign project. This work will build a permanent art collection for HATC centering on healing and wellness for patients, staff, and, visitors.
